Vegaris is built by Outpost Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.
Vegaris requests your device location to calculate which astronomical objects are currently visible from where you are. Location is used only on-device for sky calculations and is never transmitted to our servers or stored.
Your telescope setup (aperture, mount type), skill level, and notification preferences are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device.
Your observing logbook — objects you've marked as seen, notes you've written — is stored locally on your device only. We do not back this up to our servers.
If you purchase Vegaris Pro, your subscription is managed through Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymized identifier for this purpose. We do not receive your payment information.
When you use the AI Help feature, your messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle this data. We do not store your conversation history on our servers.
We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information. Vegaris requires no account to use. We do not run analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not sell data to third parties.
Vegaris is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
